None of that Sissy Crap

Are you tired of those sissy 'friendship' poems that always sound good, but never actually come close to reality? Well, here is a series of promises that actually speak of true friendship. You will see no cutesy little smiley faces here- Just the stone cold truth of great friendship.

1. When you are sad --I will jump on the person who made you sad like a spider monkey jacked up on Mountain Dew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. When you are blue -- I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.
3. When you smile -- I will know you are plotting something that I must be involved in.
4. When you're scared -- we will high tail it out of here.
5. When you are worried -- I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be until you quit whining, ya big baby!!!!
6. When you are confused -- I will use little words.
7. When you are sick --Stay away from me until you are well again. I don't want whatever you have.
8. When you fall -- I'll pick you up and dust you off.
9. This is my oath...I pledge it to the end. 'Why?' you may ask -- because you are my FRIEND!

Friendship is like peeing your pants, everyone can see it, but only you can feel the true warmth.

Every Failure Is An Opportunity In Disguise

As much as we would all love to live an easy life with endless resources and finances, most people might admit that life would be pretty monotonous if there were no obstacles or failures. Evidence of this might be seen by watching the celebrity gossip television programs, where the rich and famous of Hollywood seem to bounce from one crisis to another, seemingly bored of living the good life. How many times have you watch such stories in the news, and thought what you would do to benefit humanity if you could have their vast resources of wealth, power and influence. How many times have you been puzzled when trying to understand their mindset? Success begotten without any hard labor or without crossing any insurmountable barrier is hardly remembered even by the most successful people. To compare it with something which we experience every day, we would not value sunlight if it was not snatched by darkness of the night. While no one in this world is spared from ill fortunes and his share of bad luck, disappointments and failures, what separates men from mouse is the individual ability to deal with failures. While some succumb to their past rejections and present failures, some rise above it and strive harder to perfect their processes to achieve success. The second group always visualizes the entire spectrum of life – with its due quota of ups and downs and sees every failure as another opportunity thrown at them which has the potential of future success. This relentless pursuit of happiness and success despite all the hurdles which might come in the way, eventually take these people high on the ladder of accomplishment. The people who are tormented at the sheer thought of failure, past or present, are usually left behind. What is it that makes successful people look beyond their set backs and re-set their goals with renewed enthusiasm and vigor? Here are some of the ways by which people can achieve this skill:• Treat the past as over and future as illusive. This means that you have to act for the present moment, which is all that you have in front of you. If you let your past failures come in your way of thinking positively for the future, you would be perennially haunted by what obstacles may occur in future. The key is to treat any set-back as an opportunity to improve the way you do things. Once you start believing in what the present is offering you, you tend to be more focused on making the most of your opportunities. • Believe in yourself. We all know about the rejection which Graham Bell faced from the scientific community when he invented a new way in which we could communicate. If Bell had given up on his belief and resigned to his failures, we would have perhaps never reached this far as we have today in the field of communication. Failures, negative criticism, set backs are all intrinsic part of success. If you believe in your ideas and can firmly stand by it, you can look at every failure on its face and see the sun that shines behind the barrier. The talent or ability to take every failure in the stride is an important asset in any organization. It is really the leader’s responsibility to coach his employees and team members the importance of remaining steadfast in their approach to achieve respective career and personal goals. Set backs would come and go and would continue to do so, so long as you are involved in some kind of activity in life. There is a saying that when it rains, it pours. Nothing can be truer than this saying, when it comes to being flooded with set backs. Where we go wrong is that we fail to notice the silver lining around the cloud. Motivational Magic is a mindset that gives special attention to building and reinforcing this type of thinking. People are given the tools to develop a more positive outlook towards life and to go beyond failures with a smile and head held high. The whole idea is to derive new enthusiasm from our adversities. Reaching deep within to tap into an inner power that you never worked with ever before. Reverse the negativity, and let us not turn the whole adversity experience into a vicious cycle where we perform sub-optimally in the face of adversities to invite more failure. If you have tried hard, try harder this time pushing down all the adversities which hinder you and success could be round the corner. Overcoming the adversities of life can reward you with an exhilerating feeling of strength and accomplishment. While most people run from adversities, the true leader embraces adversity and uses it as a slingshot to propel themselves forward. Mount Rushmore was inspired by such leaders, incredible men who accomplished amazing feats by harnessing the power of adversity. Allow your adversities to unlock your greatest opportunities for personal achievement and extraordinary accomplishments!

The Detached Observer

Sit in a quiet place and take a few deep breaths and become relaxed. Bring to mind a situation in which you reacted with anger, fear or withdrawal, but pretend it wasn't you who was reacting. Pretend it was someone else. This helps you detach. Then observe how this other person experienced the situation. Just watch without judging. Just allow what was, that you are now experiencing through memory, to be as it is.
Apply this process of witnessing as often as you remember to do so to different experiences as they happen. First practice moving your awareness outside of your physical body. Then you can advance to detaching from emotions and then from thoughts and concepts. Only as you detach from reactions, illusions, vanities and effects can you really see the truth and reality of your life. Only then can you truly experience freedom, power, love and the divine. Only as you see events for what they are, can you go beyond them.

This exercise comes from Higher Awareness.

Unique Method of Dream Interpretation

Carl Jung discovered the unique method of dream interpretation. I continued his research, discovered the meaning of more dream symbols and the existence of a wild and primitive conscience that causes craziness to our conscience. If you learn how to interpret your dreams by using this scientific method, you will be able to penetrate the hidden world of the unconscious and anti-conscience, in addition to understanding how your human conscience works. What does this mean? This means that you will penetrate your mind and start understanding why you behave the way you do, why you think and feel the way you do and so on. You will then start understanding your mistakes and to correct them and develop your conscience. This means that you become more intelligent because you start paying attention to other psychological functions that you have at your disposition. You can learn many things and better judge the world: these are the functions you never use because you are always dominated by only one fully developed psychological function, which you prefer, and another one that is only partially developed and only partly helps you. In the beginning, your dreams will help you develop you conscience by showing you all the aspects of reality that you have to consider when you make your decisions or judge someone. For example, if you belong to a psychological type that is extroverted and based on sensations, you will care only for the way you feel, the food you eat, the clothes you wear and all the material pleasures you can have. What can happen to you? A lot! If you don’t think logically or analyze your life seriously, you’ll surely face many problems in your life. On the other hand, if you don’t pay attention to your feelings but only care for the gratification of your senses, you may get involved with someone you don’t really love but who can give you the material pleasure you desire…only to discover later that you cannot live with that person no matter how much money they may have. If you don’t pay attention to what you “can guess” about each person, to the impression and the feeling they give you, you are ignoring a very important psychological function whose functionalism is a mystery—intuition. This psychological function is in fact the ability to predict the future without any logical explanation besides the impressions that you obtain about someone or something. This psychological function when completely developed can help you actually guess, for instance, the person who will buy your products and who will never do that. You can understand from the beginning who is the right person for you and immediately decide the next actions to take. When this psychological function is not well developed, you receive no help in your decisions. You cannot guess anything about what you are trying to examine. Therefore, when you completely develop your conscience through dream interpretation, you start discovering the hidden meaning of reality that you could not see before because you were too ignorant and based on only one entire and one partial psychological function each.On the other hand, when you completely develop your conscience and eliminate the dangerous influence of the wild and primitive anti-conscience, you discover how reality is prepared and how you can transform it according to what will bring you good results. You acquire a “third eye” that can read and decipher the symbols existent not only in dreams but also everywhere else, and you will be guided to solve all the problems of your life. When you reach this level, you will learn the meaning of many other things that you now ignore. You will learn how to think according to another system of logic that is completely different from the selfish logic that you use now, in addition to understanding the meaning of life and death. You can learn all that you wish by interpreting your dreams, and you can interpret everything that happens to you in your daily life just as you interpret dreams, and thus have more information about reality, other people and the future.

It's not your fault that difficulty is the order of the day and the future looks bleak and cloudy.

What is your fault, however, is believing such a negative reality.

Changing Your Life With Past Life Regression

I had been grappling with life decisions and did not seem to be able to find any solutions or really good direction. I had learned about Past Life Regression from the Oprah Show and decided I would see what it was like. I found a Regression Therapist on the web, placed the call, and set an appointment. The Past Life Regression Therapist requested that I begin writing down the questions I would like to have answered. I arrived at the Regression Therapist’s office. We began by gathering information each about the other to assist her in the process. As I would be the individual doing the speaking, there was nothing to hide from the Therapist. The more she understood at a high level about my questions and the reason I was asking them, the better she could frame the questions. As I closed my eyes and began to relax, I could hear her voice as it urged me to engage my imagination and I began to descend further and further into a very peaceful place – still hearing her voice – still being aware of the other ambient sounds in her office. And we began to descend a staircase. I remained totally in control and in knowing. Upon reaching the bottom of this staircase, I found myself in the Hall of Wisdom. I was guided to be drawn to a particular door or opening. As I stood before the door that had drawn my attention, I following the guidance I was given and described the door I had chosen. I realized I was speaking in a clear, uniform manner. I was speaking about what I was seeing and about what I was sensing and feeling. This regression experience was tapping into all of my sense. I stepped through this doorway into the first scene in my past life. I became aware of being in a very different Time and Place and Body. Note: In Past Life Regression Therapy scenes of what appear to be a lifetime typically appear. One can either believe in reincarnation or own these scenes OR, one can simply believe that Spirit teaches us in formats that we understand, such as scenes from a life. I described where I was, how I looked, and what was occurring. I found myself amazed at how comfortable that description felt – how unconcerned I was about being or a different sex, origin, time and place. I was guided to take myself into the scene as the individual I had described and to determine what was occurring. While relaying the scene and conversations that were going on in the scene, I was amazed by how real it all felt. The feelings were so intense as to cause me to feel anger and frustration. I was living this experience beyond my mind – into my emotions. I moved forward to the next important scene. In the second scene, I found myself preparing to leave the village. Members of the tribe were looking at me with a mixture of disgust, disbelief and concern. I was committed to find a new home for the “tribe”.In the third scene, I was back in the village I had left. I was older (by the lines around my eyes). I had found a more lush and verdant valley for us to live in. In the village I found the “tribe” much diminished due to disease and famine. And those who were still there had no desire to leave despite it all. My feelings ranged from utter sadness to incredulous disbelief - sadness for the village and disbelief that more were not willing to follow me to an area of abundance and beauty. I wondered how often this was happening in my lifetime….how often did I not consider other options? Upon leaving this scene, I was directed to transition to the edge of the Spirit World. This transition was smooth and easy. As I drifted in my spirit form, I was guided to invite in a Spirit Guide. This Guide would provide understanding and insights that were pertinent in this past life. My Guide appeared as a wise old man with a long flowing robe. He indicated we were to call him “Owl”. My Therapist posed several of the questions we had prepared. We did not what might be addressed as Spirit is not always predictable in that manner. “Owl” spoke to me of the areas of my life I had been struggling with. His words of wisdom resonated strongly. I knew he was a Guide who had spoken before, in my dreams. My first question dealt with a life change situation. I felt like there was no growth in my job and was concerned I would be unsuccessful if I followed my passion. “Owl” answered that the past life I had experienced was all the answer I needed. He spoke further about the elements that often go into a significant life change – potential feelings of being shunned, of having to “go it alone”, and fear of failure. By “Owl” sharing the “landscape of potential possibilities”, my next steps became clear. Once the session was complete, my Therapist assisted me in returning to the present moment. As I sat there in the twilight of the trance, my Therapist shared some of the information I had verbalized while in trance. The information was very telling and helped me understand the options available in my life. And the awareness’s that remained further assisted me in understanding the most likely outcome for each option. As I sat there reflecting, I realized the message of the past life scenes I had experienced. I continued to be amazed as the conciseness of these scenes as they related to my current life. I reflected upon the insights and information provided by “Owl”. This information was nearly overwhelming – almost too powerful for words.I left the Therapist office amazed at the power of the process and delighted in the understandings I had gained. A truly amazing experience.

Standing strong in a shaky economy

“How do we keep our inner fire alive? Two things, at minimum, are needed: an ability to appreciate the positives in our life – and a commitment to action. Every day, it’s important to ask and answer these questions: ‘What’s good in my life?’ and ‘What needs to be done?’”

Looking back to move forward

As I look back on the last 6 months and the paths I have taken I have few regrets. Of course I wish I could have spent more time on what I consider fun things like, working on this blog, Spending more time with my love ones, Praying and meditating more. Now here comes the however, I believed I had to do’s like working to maintain shelter and transportation, as well as eating healthy and resting to maintain my health.

I based this blog on discerning life and purpose by journaling and now set my intention to proceed on a regular basis with journaling tips, motivational and inspiring quotes. As well as some reflective questions, also known as writing prompts, springboards, or smart questions.
Thank you for joining me on this path.

Alice

Review & Recommit

Take time to review our quality of life gives us a chance to re-evaluate what we are doing and where we want to go. It lets us fine-tune our direction, to ensure we are on track for what we most want.
  • Stop and think about your last 6 months.
  • What did you learn?
  • What would you like to do differently?
  • Where do you want to recommit?
  • How much attention do we give to planning the direction of our lives?

THE PLEA

Linda K Mottet

THE PLEA
Moment to moment, the soldiers march the linear thread, before dawn
and beyond, into the midnight.
Their eyes cannot see in the thick darkness; but their lips struggle
to form thoughtful word.
They desire to claim a definition right; the perfect label, correct
concept of self, in order to justify their endless marching in the night.
But no one can agree on anything, except their mutual separation.
There is not one who can be believed, because all believe they are
deceived.
Together they weave their filament threads, until they are trapped in
endless renumeration.
Together they wrap their web around the newborn of every generation.
Together they demand the sucklings cleave, in order to continue to
believe, they are the saviors that feed.

Their threads weave the quilted patterns tight, so every newborn
soldier will continue the march in the night.
Together they place their words and all the information on blank
journal pages, to be preserved and guide all the future congregations
in worship of their chosen rage.
Together they paint the illustrations that prove nothing, but their
own belief in the illusion of decay.
Now, they all recite with perfect memorization, and vanish every trace
of the song of Grace.

Still, Harmonic Tones sound and blend and giant trees in gratitude bend.
Into the monotone situation, Invisible Wings unfold; and beckon the
tired soldiers to march into the moonlight and glimpse the Illumination.
Each one is extended the invitation to join in the joyful celebration,
and find rest basking in the Golden Rays of the Great Central Sun:
Where all moments and all linear threads merge into One Holy Instant;
where all marching soldiers, who have ever come, converge in the Eternal.
Invisible Wings Unfold to lift each One and carry them beyond their
mimic expression.
Not one will fail, because they are all destined to succeed.
But, for now, they have forgotten to Whom they direct their plea.

Today, I Intend

Today, I intend to focus my full and undivided attention on all the
resources that are presently on hand and available with deep
appreciation, while recognizing the flow of resources is unlimited in
nature. Thank you, Creator Father, Source, for empowering me with
attention, gratitude, and appreciation. I believe in the creative
power of Thought. I am eternally grateful to be so empowered that I
may now spend "time" appreciating the unfolding diversity on this
journey, and no longer choose or desire or implement manifestations
that I do not want to experience, due to fear and resistance to my
power, and misplaced attention. As a unique part, a focused,
individual Thought of the Infinite, I share in the power of the
Infinite. Eternity is given "now", in this Holy Eternal Instant that
I live and move and have life in Eternal Love, always returning the
nature of my desire, that I may come to desire Well- being and
appreciate the truth that health, wealth, and happiness are God's
goodness extending to me, through me, as me. I am joy. I am created
to live a full and creative life. I am created to be happy and
fulfilled. I am grateful that this is so. I am grateful that I was
wrong when I believed that a Loving Creator even intended less than
everything for His Own, and I am grateful I was wrong when I believed
I deserved less than perfect Well-being.
